Self-Reflection

(Apologize first for a long long delay)

Wow.....it's so amazing that the end of this semester is right on the corner.
I am soooooo excited.
the whole process is like the lyric of 《A New Day Has Come》sung by Celin Dion

I was waiting for so long
For a miracle to come
Everyone told me to be strong
Hold on and don't shed a tear

So through darkness and good times
I knew I'd make it through
And the world thought I had it all
But I was waiting for you

Let the rain come down
And wash away my tears
Let it fill my soul
And drown my tears
Let it shatter the walls
For a new sun
A new day has come
A new day has come

I have waited for so long
For the end to come
And it finally comes!!!!

um......the reflection on the research paper.....

well.....This is the first time I do a research paper.
At first I felt worried, because I had no similar experience before.
However, the classmates had.
While I was writing the paper, I had the MLA handbook with me all the time,
because I was not familiar with that style at all.
I still encountered some problems when I looked up in the handbook.
It's a mercy that the teacher taught it again in the class.
It helped me a lot!

When deciding the topic, the first idea came into my mind was the Internet,
because I used it almost every single day.
It was not a hard topic for me, I had fun while doing the research.
I even went to the National Central Library to find useful data.

However, the most interesting part was the first hand data collection.
Creating an online questionnarie is fun, easy, but troublesome.
It's hard to design the questions and to find people to respond it.
I was lucky because I posted the URL of the questionnarie on the biggest BBS, PTT.
Therefore, in the end, I got total 298 responses.
It was really surprising!!!

the above is roughly about me research paper.
and the following is how I view this weblog activity.

actually, I think keeping a personal weblog is great,
because I also have a blog which I regularly post thoughts on.
HOWEVER
this "blogger" is super difficult to use.
not pretty format, not beautiful design.....
I even had a great problem with it that I could not post my articles.
Maybe it is because that I am used to the "Wretch"
but anyway....I dislike this blogger!!!

well....again.
I am happy that this semester is going to end.
It is also a little bit sad..........
anyway

Thanks to teacher and all the classmates and of course myself ^^

Let's do better in the next year!!!

RP argumentation

This kind of underground illness will greatly affect people's life unknowingly because it gradually harms people physically and mentally without distinct and acute symptoms. It is a kind of chronic ill which gradually decays people's health, so most Internet users will not pay attention to the uncomfortableness at first and when they become aware of the situation, they are usually quite ill. This research paper will discuss what the Internet addiction disorder (IAD) is and how IAD affects people mentally and physically and focus on how Taiwanese students understand and consider their Internet usage, whether they think they are healthy or are worried about themselves.

(The above is a part of my first paragraph...)

actually.....I do not quite understand what I am arguing XDDDDD

Ahahah!!!
maybe I know that...
I wanna find out that if Taiwanese students think they are addicted to the Internet, and think it can be a serious problem in the future (like: decrease the future competitiveness etc.) because I think it is a very important issue which definitely affects our lives in some ways.

and I really wanna say that....(many other have the same feeling as I have)
the life in FJU disappoints me coz.....well....well.....
anyway...
it disappoints me!!! XDDD

Q Q Q....

I don't get it....
why we have to attend the class at 8:00 p.m.
I know it's because we have to connect with the U.S..

However, when I rode on my scooter today, my uncle saw me and asked:
why is that u Taiwanese have class at night?
why don't the students in the united states have class at night?

I think it's quite reasonable that we can switch the class time!!!
since we are like at the oppsite side of the earth and even the clock...

indeed....I cannot figure out why.......

volleyball....

it's really painful taking volleyball as the PE course.
'cause 我的雙手臂週週瘀青
looks like I have 蕁麻疹 XD
Although I took volleyball as my whole freshman year PE course, I have forgot what the standard pose is, because it's a long long time ago (two and a half years I guess.)
Haven't taken PE for one and a half years....I am really lazy to play that colorful ball.

Besides, the teacher is quite like a BEAR. XD

*sigh
every Friday noon...I have to stay alone in 文圖.
因為只有我下午要上cc....
而且體育課11點半就再見了
這兩個小時.....sabishi...........

well....sleep and do assignments and prepare for GRE!!!!!

Introduction of RP

Nowadays, the world has become a global village because of the advances made in the fields of transportation, medium, and high technology. The Internet is the especially prominent one which offers people great advantages when communicating with someone far away, or obtaining the latest news worldwide. According to the statistics collected by the Institute for Information Industry (III) at the end of September, 2006, the population of Internet user has reached the amount of 9.71 million which includes the users of wired broadband network, Integrated Services Digital Network (ISDN), Taiwan Academic Network (TANet), Wireless Application Protocol (WAP), and traditional Dial-up Connection. The rate of the Internet availability is estimated to be forty-three percents. In the event, a hidden modern disease, the Internet addiction disorder, has been prevailing while the use of Internet is growing. This kind of underground disease will greatly affect people’s life unknowingly because it gradually harms people physically and mentally. This research paper will discuss what Internet addiction disorder (IAD) is and focus on how IAD affects people mentally and physically.

First data collection proposal

I am going to design an online questionnaire which contains about three parts and I am going to post it on the biggest BBS in Taiwan and at the same time, deliver it to my friends through e-mail or msn. The first part of the questionnaire would be the essential information of the respondents, such as “age,” “gender,” “school.”

In the second part, I am going to offer some questions asking respondent what they do online. Do they use the Internet doing assignments? Do they play online games or go to the chat room? I will also ask them about how much the time is they spend on these activities. In the last part of the survey, I would like to ask them what they think about the Internet and how they view their doings online.

Do they worry about that? Are they happy or disappointed? It will be a part related to respondents’ minds and thoughts. Overall, a questionnaire is what I am going to do. I will refer to some predecessors’ questionnaires as well. I hope that this method will work.
